All products are manufactured in compliance with the most stringent environmental standards and are free from harmful substances such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.

Water Conservation Efforts

Water conservation is a key part of Blue Star’s green manufacturing strategy. All our Indian manufacturing facilities are equipped with rainwater harvesting systems and have achieved zero liquid discharge through advanced Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) and Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). In addition, we utilise cutting-edge testing technologies that enhance product quality while reducing water usage—ensuring responsible resource use across every stage of production.

That's why we are fully committed to implementing the E-Waste Management Rules 2016, notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) of the Government of India, including the amendments made in March 2018.

With green manufacturing, we are committed to minimising our environmental impact through responsible practices like e-waste management. This is why we emphasise the proper disposal of all non-centralised air conditioners, which fall under India's Schedule 1 E-Waste Management Rules. 
Disposing of electronic waste with regular waste can harm the environment and put future generations at risk. Instead, we should store used air conditioners separately and choose authorised e-waste recyclers for their responsible and eco-friendly disposal.

Blue Star takes pride in facilitating the safe and environmentally responsible disposal of all our
air conditioners through green manufacturing, classified as CEEW4 (Consumer Electrical & Electronics Waste) products. We offer convenient options for customers to recycle their used air conditioners by simply handing them over to our authorised sales and service dealers (SSDs) or designated collection Centres (Warehouses).

  • Energy efficiency improvements projects in our manufacturing plants, offices, R&D Centre, training Centres & WHS (Onsite Solar PV/ green power, Heat Pumps, HVAC upgrades, VFDs, IE 4/5 motors, BLDC/HVLS/EC fans, Natural light harvesting, Gas/Electric vehicles for material handling) 
  • Renewable energy consumption from on-site, 4.69 MWp solar system installed (15% RE)
